In like a Lion, Out like a Lamb....

I heard that phrase today on the television.  The March weather has truly come in like a lion.  When the weatherman said that I thought....Jesus is my Lion, my Shepherd, my Saviour, my Friend.  He is there to protect, love, nurture; He gives wisdom, forgiveness, comfort, and understanding.  "Oh, how He loves us, oh, oh, how He loves us."  I'm so undeserving, I'm not worthy of His grace, yet in the lowest places of our lives, on the mountain tops of our lives, HE IS THERE!!!
And He's Ever Interceding
Someone to go the extra mile
Just like a mother caring for her child
A friend who sticks through thick and thin
No matter where you've been
Just like one great big family
A stronger older brother He will be
So quick and ready to defend
The younger, weaker 'til the end
And He's ever interceding to the Father for His children
Yes, He's ever interceding to the Father for His own
Through Him, You can reach the Father
So bring Him all your heavy burdens
Yes, For you He's interceding so come boldly to the throne
Just like sheep we've gone astray
Struggling 'neath the debt we could not pay
Not ever hoping to renew
The love and friendship that we once knew
But He began to intercede
Crying, "Father please forgive, I plead"
And as the nails pierced His hands
God once again reached out to man

My Bible verse is from The Message....I usually don't read this translation much, but today it hits it...points straight to where I am...

"Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."

Romans 8:26 (The Message)

  1. Wow, the weeks fly by. Here is my verse, "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Ps. 61:2 KJV
Praise the Lord for our rock!!!!

Please be in prayer for Dave Berg, my niece Patty's husband, he has fluid on the brain and for Patti Bailey, who is having biopsies on her kidney and pancreas.

  3. Sorry to be posting this verse so late. It has been a little stressful here. My verse has been
Philippians 4:6 "Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God." (KJV)
